The collimator has a built-in optical lens, which can make the divergent light output in parallel. Using this series of lenses, you can also control the field of view, light collection efficiency, spatial light collection resolution, and the divergence angle and light collection angle of the light that can be adjusted to the sample surface.
Ocean Optics collimating lenses can be attached to a spectrometer, coupled to a fiber optic or integrated into a sampling accessory. Most lenses have inner barrels for SMA 905 fiber optic interfaces. The inner barrel slides relative to the lens holder to adjust the focus.
